Shasta Nursery's location plays a big part in the cleanliness of our rootstock. The climatic extremes experienced here in Northern California seem to diminish the viral and fungal problems many other areas may battle with including the elusive glassy winged sharpshooter.

We, also being certified strawberry rootstock producers, know how important cleanliness is when dealing with propagating rootstocks. This is why, among many other things, we take the utmost care in selecting isolated areas to grow certified rootstock, which is then sent to greenhouses specifically designed to process the vines and propagate the starts.

With the background in plant tissue culture and heat therapy, we can apply this technology to produce the cleanest plants possible or to improve proprietary stocks on a service basis.
