As our Technical Solutions Developer, you will be responsible for delivering custom solutions built on the salesforce platform to address customer specific requirements such as custom features and functionality, automation of business processes, or integration of external systems with the Rootstock ERP application.

As a member of our Professional Services team in our San Ramon Headquarters, you will leverage your knowledge and experience with the Salesforce platform, enterprise software project delivery and knowledge of the Rootstock product to deliver solutions which support critical business functions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality custom solutions to Rootstock customers and to the Rootstock project team.
  • Participate in solution design sessions to collaborate with Solution Architect on optimal solution by recommending alternative approaches and best practices and define technical impact.
  • Follow an agile software development methodology and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle and support processes.
  • Execute on assigned deliverables utilizing Apex Triggers, Scheduled jobs and Visualforce pages. As build out the solution, provide feedback around findings and issues which need collaboration and possible modifications.
  • Develop Apex test class coverage for solutions
  • Integrate external systems with Rootstock ERP by utilizing provided APIs.
  • Execute metadata migration handling deployments between salesforce connected and unconnected orgs.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Rootstock ERP solution and understand best practices to interact with the system based on knowledge of Rootstock managed product.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer 1
  • Minimum work experience: four years of software development and two years of Salesforce application development
  • Self-motivated and creative
  • Experience integrating systems utilizing Web Services (SOAP and REST), XML and outbound messaging.
  • Development expertise with Apex, VisualForce and JavaScript, lightning components.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related disciplinary
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer 2
  • Knowledge of ERP concepts around manufacturing and distribution including purchasing, manufacturing, order management, financials would be a plus.
  • Experience with Metadata and Data migration tools such as Gearset, Boomi, Informatica, Mulesoft, Dataloader I/O.

Location: Richmond, Virginia Department: Professional Services

As our Salesforce Solution Architect, you play a critical role in leading the strategy, definition, and realization of architecture and design within customer organizations. You must be skilled at leveraging the Salesforce Platform in solution architecture and have a solid track record of execution and delivering results. You are responsible for the overall design and build of the custom elements of the Rootstock and/or customer delivery teams.

 Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain deployment strategy and/or roadmaps for customers’ business areas
  • Collaborate with customer to manage development teams to deliver full lifecycle SFDC implementations
  • Drive and document solution architecture and design to solve business problems, including detailed technical and functional artifacts
  • Lead a team of SMEs and developers, collaborating with customers to document, direct, and evaluate all development/testing activities on ERP projects to ensure high quality implementations

 Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience implementing ERP/MRP or Supply Chain solutions
  • Experience implementing Salesforce Platform in a large-scale, enterprise environment
  • 10+ years of overall development and architecture experience
  • Solid understanding of IT systems including system design and  databases.
  • Integration experience within Salesforce (REST, SOAP, ESB)

Location: Eastern US Department: Professional Services

Rootstock has exciting career opportunities for experienced and engaging Implementation Specialists who are ready to join our growing Professional Services Team. You will be responsible for guiding customers through their implementation of the Rootstock ERP application.

You deliver your considerable knowledge and experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, and/or Accounting business processes, enterprise software project delivery, and Rootstock products to lead our customers to implementation success. You apply technical and operational expertise to take ownership of systems analysis and development of business and technical solutions for our Manufacturing and Distribution customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality implementation services and project deliverables to Rootstock customers and to the Rootstock project team.
  • Provide proactive application and implementation leadership to customers including mentoring, training, knowledge transfer, and active support of the customers’ project tasks.
  • Lead business requirements definition phase of the project. Identify and translate customer’s business needs and use cases.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the customer’s business processes, through development of appropriate project artifacts.
  • Demonstrate a deep and thorough knowledge of the Rootstock product and Salesforce platform, as well as the creativity to apply knowledge to solve customer business cases.
  • Develop and document the optimum solution designs, ensuring customers receive maximum benefit from Rootstock applications.
  • Manage customers through their pilot preparation task, version release updates, and pilot testing, culminating in an assessment of customers’ system and operational readiness.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers on behalf of Rootstock.
  • Update/maintain skills in the ERP solution and the Salesforce Platform over time.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, or other Supply Chain industry (any vertical(s))
  • Hands-on Salesforce Platform experience. SF Administrator certification is a plus.
  • ERP Implementation experience
  • Proven track record of successful deployments as well as customer and team satisfaction.

  • You will be given areas of stewardship within the Rootstock ERP and Financial products. This entails:
    • Possessing an in-depth understanding of the functional area (what business process is being done, what is the user experience expectation, etc.)
    • Knowing all the data objects in that area and how they interact with each other
    • Knowing the various source code components, what each does and how they interact with each other and the data model
    • As required, fix bugs and make changes to existing code.
    • Extend existing functionality as defined in product specifications.
