Randy Wheeler Moves from Rootstock Advisory Committee to Senior Vice President of Operations
Veteran Silicon Valley Executive to be in Charge of Rootstock Support and Professional Services Organizations
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – November 24, 2015 – Rootstock Software®, the leader in cloud manufacturing and supply chain applications, today announced that Randy Wheeler will be the executive in charge of the direction of Rootstock’s Support and Professional Services Organizations effective immediately. Wheeler has previously been on the Rootstock Advisory Committee, a group of industry professionals that bring their vision and experience to Rootstock management.
“From the beginning, Rootstock has been lauded for the software and services they provide their customers,” states Wheeler. “I am very excited to further help Rootstock customers understand and appreciate that, although applications created on the traditional platform might be deployed through the Internet with resource-sharing technologies that provide a more balanced use of resources, they do not have the benefits of true SaaS or PaaS solutions because the traditional model simply can’t deliver the same benefits of Cloud ERP, including lower costs, painless upgrades and a variety of other benefits. And, neither do the On-Premise/In-House, ASP and hosted suites which represent ‘traditional’ software.”
“I have known Randy for over a decade now and we were in the same CEO group together,” adds Rootstock CEO Pat Garrehy. Randy founded a high-growth software company here in the East Bay which was later acquired by Aon Corporation in 2007. We are so pleased, especially for our customers, to have Randy join us in an executive capacity.”
